Everyone Else Shuts Down – Eventually
I know that sometimes business owners when they’re being honest with themselves, feel a little bit overwhelmed and a little bit out of control I know that they are often struggling to keep pace with just their day-to-day responsibilities let alone anything else
It’s clear that sometimes they’re unsure of what the steps they are that they need to take in order to solve that problem if they even have time to think that that’s the problem that they need to solve, they’re so way down by the operational inefficiencies and firefighting that they’ve almost given up on getting control back of their business and their personal lives.
The ones I work with a dedicated individuals you feel like it’s only they could master that time and streamline their operations they get the business that they want and the life that they deserve
Most of them and certainly the ones that I work with are driven by a deep calf their employees customers and their families they are led by values of empathy and integrity which shape their decisions and their desire to improve the business most of them aspire to create a business that not only thrives and gives them the life they deserve but also makes a meaningful impact on the lives of their employees of their community and even positively influences the world around them.
I’m often asked at networking events and by business contacts what’s an ideal client for me or what’s an ideal referral for me and it’s those people, the ones who are trying to make a difference not just in their lives and in the lives of their families in the lives of their employees and the lives of their customers those that are trying to positively impact the world around them and crucially the ones who are prepared to accept that they need to change to gain back control and start getting the results that they want and I believe that they deserve.
It’s shocking that 96% of all businesses fail in their first ten years what’s even more shocking is that the same number fail every 10 years, this is not something I’m making up just to get likes or follows, in 2022 in the UK 345,000 businesses shut their doors for the last time, that was 11.8% of all active businesses in 2023 is 295,000, that’s from the office of National Statistics.
What’s sad is there only 25,000 of those were insolvent, so 320,000 businesses just gave up or had to close.
Yes some music slower and every years it’s higher and the number of businesses that close is often very close to the number of businesses that open yet with the best numbers that I can get from the office of National Statistics every 10 years 96% of all businesses close.
What I can tell you is nearly every single one of those businesses that closed were good at what they did most of them were good people most of them cared about their employees and their customers most of them wanted to run a good business and most of them made the same mistakes that 96% of all businesses make eventually.
To recap the people that I work with the ones that I helped a genuinely decent people trying to make a difference in the world of their customers their employees and their families, they have great values and they want to build a great business they want to have a good life and leave something meaningful behind what I do is help them understand what the 4% do differently.
If you know a business owner, who is a genuinely decent person looking to make an impact and create something that will last put them in touch I’m happy to explain what the 4% do differently.
